The seeds of Global Vision were planted in 1981 when Richard Wright (President and Founder) started a wholesale business that sold a variety of products that included sunglasses. Four years later, the business expanded into Florida’s coastal areas, including Daytona Beach (home of Bike Week, the world’s largest motorcycle event).

It was here that Richard’s expertise in purchasing and merchandising began to surface, especially when it came to sunglasses. He knew that his customers wanted sunglasses that were stylish, quality made, had a great fit, and were reasonably priced. This vision helped him establish the glasses’ overwhelming popularity. It soon became apparent that his future was in eyewear, and Global Vision Eyewear Corporation was born.

The company has expanded several times and now sells a wide variety of eyewear including sunglasses, goggles and safety glasses. Racks and accessories were also added, as the product line was developed. Global Vision currently warehouses nearly a million pairs of glasses and goggles, and receives full-container shipments on a regular basis. This helps assure products are in stock and ready for their customers when they need them.
